  • Run a rapid heuristic review and IA audit against HCI best practices

DISCOVER

  • Lead 6–10 usability sessions with target developer profiles

  • Instrument a baseline for time‑to‑first‑success, task success rate, and error types

DESIGN

  • Redesign navigation and interaction patterns with progressive disclosure and smart defaults

  • Write high‑clarity microcopy and inline guidance to reduce doc lookups

PROTOTYPE

  • Build high‑fidelity, clickable flows for 2–3 critical journeys and connect them to sample data

VALIDATE

  • Compare baseline vs. prototype with usability tests and accessibility checks

  • Package a phased rollout with engineering feasibility notes

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field with strong academic standing

  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc) with demonstrated experience through coursework, projects, or previous internships

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to learn new technologies quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience with fundamental development tools including databases, and web technologies

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and genuine interest in enterprise software development

Program Benefits

  • Mentorship from Global Experts: Learn directly from k-ID's global Product, Design & Engineering team

  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Interact with product, design, GTM and compliance teams

  • Commercial Skills: Learn to breakdown and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical professionals
