About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Lab Chemist to join our laboratory team. This senior-level role focuses on high-quality sample preparation and the execution of routine analytical testing. The ideal candidate is a disciplined scientist who prioritizes laboratory safety, is interested in hands-on analytical jobs, and possesses a foundational understanding of spectroscopic instrumentation and other chemical analysis equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all SOPs, chemical hygiene plans, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Lab Maintenance: willing to maintain a clean and organized workspace; manage chemical inventory and waste disposal according to regulatory standards.

  • Sample Preparation: Perform precise preparation of various sample matrices, including weighing, digestion, dilution, and filtration, ensuring zero cross-contamination.

  • Instrument Operation: Assist in the operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of analytical equipment.

  • Data Management: Accurately record experimental observations and raw data into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or lab notebooks.

Required Qualifications:

  • An associate/Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in wet chemistry techniques (pipetting, titration, acid digestion).

  • Familiarity with the principles of analytical instrumentation.

  • Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Titration, Flame AA, ICP-OES/MS, or XRF is desirable.

  • Knowledge of EPA, ISO, or GLP/GMP standards.

  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a commitment to collaborative teamwork, and willing to learn new skills.

Our culture is built on four principles:

Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.

Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.

Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.

Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.

Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
