The role
We are looking for a senior engineer who can own the design and implementation of the controller component of our network automation platform.
What you’ll do
- Own the end-to-end backend architecture, from data models to APIs and internal services
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services
- Implement and maintain:
- REST APIs (Node.js)
- gRPC APIs (Golang)
- Collaborate closely with:
- Network engineers
- Product and leadership teams
- Review code, set engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers as the team grows
- Take ownership of performance, reliability, and security of the controller
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior role
- Strong experience with Node.js and Golang in production systems
- Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems
- Experience creating backends serving a large number of online requests.
- Solid experience of working with:
- MariaDB / MySQL
- MongoDB
- Redis
- gRPC
- CI/CD
- Linux
- Containerized applications
- Ability to turn high-level requirements into clear technical designs and implementations
